If you have nursed interest about learning about Excel functions and have been daunted about where to start from the long list of 450 available functions in MS Excel, this post is for you.
The reality is, just like any other knowledge area, learning and mastering MS Excel is most effective when it directly relates to the area of your regular work. This way, you are able to not only learn, but apply what you are learning and see immediate results, which reinforces your learning.
So, instead of trying to memorize and learn uses of all 450 functions, I recommend focusing on the application of MS Excel you want to master, and learning the functions that help you design or bring that application to life. I refer to those application-specific functions as FUNCTION SQUADS.
