Have you ever wanted to retrieve a complex formula you had created a while back and saved in a workbook, only to realise you could not recollect the logic of the formula, or what it is was expected to achieve?

Well, there’s a neat feature in Excel that lets you include comments within formulas, so you can document key info about the formula within the same cell it was inputted. You can even use this feature to leave notes for other users as guides for subsequent use of the formula.

You can include a comment within a formula, by adding “+ N(“Your comment here”)” in front of your formula.
